Cookie policy
Extended information on cookies from laformicaedilizia.it
In accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679, article 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/03, the so-called GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), this policy explains what cookies are and illustrates the various types of cookies present on the website ilpari.com (hereinafter, the “Site”) and integrates the information regarding data processing found at the page https://laformicaedilizia.it/en/privacy-policy
Cookies are small text files that websites visited by the user send and store on their computer or mobile device, to be later transmitted to the same sites upon subsequent visits. Thanks to cookies, the site remembers the user’s actions and preferences (such as login data, preferred language, font size, other display settings, etc.) so that they do not have to be indicated again when the user returns to visit the site or navigates from one page to another. Cookies are used for computer authentication, session monitoring, and storing information about the activities of users accessing a site, and may also contain a unique identifying code that allows tracking of the user’s navigation within the site itself for statistical or advertising purposes. During navigation on a site, the user may also receive cookies on their computer or mobile device from sites or web servers different from the one they are visiting (so-called “third-party cookies”). Some operations may not be possible without the use of cookies, which in certain cases are therefore technically necessary for the proper functioning of the site.
There are several types of cookies, depending on their characteristics and functions, and these can remain on the user’s computer or mobile device for different periods of time;
Cookies can therefore be classified as:
-“Session cookies,” which are deleted immediately when the browsing browser is closed;
-“Persistent cookies,” which remain within the browser for a certain period of time. They are used, for example, to recognize the device connecting to a site facilitating authentication operations for the user;
-“First-party cookies,” generated and managed directly by the website manager on which the user is browsing;
-“Third-party cookies,” generated and managed by subjects other than the website manager on which the user is browsing.
According to current legislation in Italy, the use of cookies does not always require the express consent of the user. In particular, the so-called “technical” cookies do not require such consent, i.e., those used solely to transmit a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. These are cookies that are essential for the operation of the site or necessary to carry out activities requested by the user.
Among the technical cookies that do not require explicit consent for their use, the Italian Data Protection Authority (cf. General Measure “Identification of simplified methods for informing and acquiring consent for the use of cookies – 8 May 2014”) also includes:
-“Analytical cookies” where used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregated form, on the number of users and how they visit the site itself, navigation or session cookies (to authenticate, to make a purchase, etc.);
-Functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate based on a series of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided to the user.
For so-called profiling cookies, on the other hand, i.e., those aimed at creating user profiles and used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user during online browsing, the prior consent of the user is required.
Cookies used on this site
There are different types of cookies that contain different information and perform different functions (e.g., performing computer authentications, session monitoring, storing preferences for sending targeted advertising messages, etc.). Each cookie, in turn, contains different data (e.g., the name of the server from which it comes, a numerical identifier, etc.). This data can remain on the user’s device for different periods of time – a browser session, a few hours, several days, or longer periods.
Technical cookies necessary for navigation: Cookies that are used to carry out navigation or to provide a service requested by the user. They are not used for any other purpose. Technical cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the site. Without the use of these cookies, some operations could not be carried out or would be more complex and/or less secure. Therefore, technical cookies are essential. Technical cookies do not require user consent, as they are necessary for the proper functioning of the site.
Third-party analytical cookies used as technical cookies: Third-party analytical cookies can be assimilated to technical cookies only if used for site optimization purposes by the site owner itself, to collect information in aggregate form on the number of users and how they visit the site. When used as technical cookies and when anonymization measures prescribed by the Authority are adopted, analytical cookies are necessary to allow the site owner to improve its operation and the user’s experience on the site.
Marketing and profiling cookies: Cookies used to track the user’s online browsing and create profiles on their tastes, habits, choices, etc. With these cookies, advertising messages can be transmitted to the user’s terminal in line with the preferences expressed by the user during their online browsing.
Profiling cookies are not strictly necessary for the proper functioning of the site and, therefore, the user can decide whether to install such cookies or not. User consent is required for the installation of profiling cookies, which can be expressed or revoked by the user.
The site only installs technical cookies and requires explicit consent from the user for analytical cookies and profiling cookies.
